UNIQUE FRESHCUP PRODUCT TO REVOLUTIONISE UNHEALTHY OFFICE KITCHENS
Laboratory testing has revealed that the average office coffee cup left overnight contains from 10,000 to 100,000 bacteria colonies, whilst after washing the cup with a washcloth, or dried with a tea towel, this has leapt to up to 1,000,000 colonies!
This can have a profound effect on office health and subsequent absenteeism.
"If you consider the current tendency for businesses to research and implement new standards in workplace safety, health and environmental issues, the back kitchen has been sadly neglected, often featuring an unhygienic stack of dirty cups and saucers, washcloths and tea towels," says a director of FreshCUP. In addressing this problem, FreshCUP announced the release this week into Queensland of their exciting and unique cleansing system following its impressive launch in Victoria in 2007.
"The FreshCUP product will do to the dishwasher, what the microwave has done to the oven," said the director. "While dishwashers take 45 minutes, FreshCUP takes 30 seconds, dishwashers clean but don’t sanitize, may take days to fill for a load, and take up considerable space," he said.
The system consists of a bench top cleaner with rotating carousel, heater and dual detergent/sanitizer cartridge. Dirty cups or glasses are loaded as soon as they are used by placing them in the carousel and are cleaned and sanitized, resulting in zero bacteria, in just 30 seconds. The hot cups are then lifted onto a drain tray on top of the machine where they air dry in seconds. This eliminates build up of dirty cups in the sink, the need to allocate reluctant staff to the wash up, and the water wastage of rinsing single cups.
Testing has shown that to hand rinse one cup uses, on average, 2.5 litres of water, compared to that of FreshCUP, using only .6 of a litre per wash.
The detergent and sanitizer agents are citrus based and are fully biodegradable, whilst the empty cartridge is recyclable. Electricity usage is less than that of an urn. FreshCUP connects to the cold water and installation is less than an hour. At under $2 per day, it pays for itself in water saving and increased productivity alone.
Businesses wanting to get rid of those piled up dirty cups in the sink, substantially reduce water consumption, improve office morale and productivity, as well as reduce the health hazards in their kitchen can see a working demonstration of the FreshCUP system at www.cleancup.com.au.
